When an email composition window is open, a single press and hold of the side speech button will launch Dragon for E-Mail. Dragon for E-Mail can be used to reply, compose,or forward an email message. However, when the side key is pressed outside of an email message composition window, the Voice Dialing application will be launched by default.
Dragon for E-Mail lets you dictate in the “Subject”, “Body” or “Address” fields of the composition window by moving the cursor to the field. You can speak a name from your contact list into the address field (“To”, “Cc” or “Bcc”) if you have uploaded your contact names during installation.
In addition to composing messages by voice, Dragon for E-Mail provides the ability for users to either enter new text or edit text already dictated. The text can be edited as done normally with the keypad.
Step 1 You have to be in the BlackBerry’s email composition window (via New Composition, Reply or Forward)
Step 2 Cursor must be in the Address, Subject or Body Field of the email message.
Step 3 Press and Hold the side convenience key (Left/Right) assigned to Dragon for E-Mail during installation.
Step 4 While key is pressed, speak your contact name, message subject or body with cursor in the appropriate Field.
Example - With cursor in the “To” Address field say “John Smith”, then with cursor in the Subject field say “Today’s meeting” and with the cursor in the Body field say “I am running late for the meeting. I will join in 10 minutes”.
Note - You can dictate to the Address Field only if you uploaded your Contacts.
